Do you have some fun materials for Columbus Day? If not (and even if you do), I’ve got some great ideas for you!
1) Ship in a Bottle Craftivity from Teach-A-Roo. This great craftivity is sure to keep your students engaged. It could also be used as a reinforcer at the end of the session or class.
2) Columbus Day Mini Book by Creation Castle. This short and sweet booklet could be a great way to practice story re-telling or to work on basic reading comprehension.
3) Columbus Sequencing Activity by The Lone Wolf. There are several opportunities for your students to practice sequencing skills using this packet. A mini-book is included as well, which is always great for comprehension and story retelling!
4) Columbus Day Free Printable by Gwyn Rollins. Working on phonological awareness? These rhyming cards are a great way to target this goal!
5) Christopher Columbus Write the Room Freebie by Bonnie Kathryn. This packet was intended for a write the room activity, although if you are looking to use it during a speech session it could be easily adapted to target vocabulary.
I hope you all enjoy these awesome freebies! Don’t forget to check out the other great Columbus Day products that are offered on TpT!
