Using Mindfulness in Speech Therapy, Part 1

In today’s episode, I talk about using mindfulness in speech therapy.  Mindfulness is a word that has gained a lot of popularity over the last ten years and it seems we are always learning about new ways that it is beneficial.  However, there is little in the literature in regards to its use in speech therapy.  Today, I talk about ways that I’ve used it to work on vocabulary goals.  Next week I will also talk about how it can be used with stuttering clients.  Make sure you check back for next week’s episode for the free resource that I’ve created to be used in conjunction with some of the activities I speak about in these two episodes.  Have you used mindfulness in your speech therapy sessions before?  If you have, I’d love to hear from you!
